While you’re probably familiar with seeing a typical white, black or gray Honda driving through the Jackson Metro Area, you’ll take a second look after seeing this Honda Element. Chris had the Element wrapped in a funky, earthy design for the Soulshine Pizza Factory. Sartin, bought his Honda Element from Patty Peck Honda 4 years ago and decided to have it wrapped for about a year. Looking for something that would get the public interested about the company. With its tie-dyed design and unique shape, he says it really “speaks for itself.” It is primarily used for catering.
Because this Honda SUV has been such a hit, Chris is considering getting another wrapped Element for Soulshine near the Reservoir. But why did he choose this sporty, distinct vehicle? He says it’s very easy to clean, which is vital for carrying food around town. The Honda has rubber flooring and high ceilings for transporting equipment, pizzas and other types of food. The versatile vehicle is also a good way to save money on gas. With only 27 miles to the gallon on the highway, it is efficient compared to your average catering van. Not only is Chris interested in going green, but it is safe and reliable for his employees. He says sometimes the employees will use it to run errands to the bank or other business-related tasks, and safety is especially important.
Soulshine gets in a catering order at least once a day, so this car is on the road pretty often. Chris says, “I am going to keep our Element until the wheels fall off.” Soulshine’s hip-looking Honda Element will continue to follow out its catering duties and make its way around the Jackson area for a long time to come. Driving down the road and seeing dogs pop their head out the window isn’t unusual. But if you see a Honda Element riding through the streets with a horse trying to feel the wind, don’t be alarmed. That’s just Taco, the traveling therapy horse being chauffeured around by Sharon Kay Banks in her Honda Element.

Taco is a resident at Rainbow Farms Riding Centerin Vicksburg, Mississippi. He is a dwarf miniature horse about two feet tall. Three-year-old Taco is a caring little animal that makes trips to share his loving self. His first trip in the Element was to Claiborne County Nursing Center in Port Gibson, Mississippi. He visited every room in the facility to see plenty of smiling faces. His second trip was to a special needs child’s birthday party. Taco allowed the children to take him around to spread lots of joy to all the kids.
This new adventure would not be your typical ride in a Patty Peck Honda. With Taco’s lovable personality, anyone apart of the journey would never forget how many “elements” of happiness he can bring.

The 2010 Honda Fit and Civic made KELLEY BLUE BOOK’s list of the “10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000.” To be considered, a vehicle has to meet the usual consumer criteria – safety, fuel economy, interior size, comfort, and technology – as well as fun-to-drive and fun-to-own factors. Price point was based on New Car Blue Book Values that reflect real-world transaction prices. The editors note, “Every vehicle on the list can be purchased for less than $18,000.” Honda was the only one with two vehicles making the list.

The 2011 Honda Accord Sedan is still as laid-back as ever, yet a slick and refined midsize four-door while the 2011 Honda Accord Coupe is like a pedigreed sports car. Together they become one of America’s most-popular car lines.
They both have revised grille inserts and improved bumper appearance. The 2011 Accord sedan has a new trunk lid with red horizontal reflector bars that span most of the car’s width while the Coupe has new tail lamps that relocate the clear, brake-light portion from the top of the lens to the bottom. There are new wheel designs for the sedan as well and for six-cylinder Coupes. All the changes are subtle, but Honda says some make the 2011 Accord more aerodynamic for improved fuel economy.
“For 2011, the Accord evolves again with sharpened styling inside and out, fuel economy gains and a broader application of popular features,” said Erik Berkman, vice president of Corporate Planning and Logistics for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Accord is designed to deliver a consistently rewarding ownership experience in the areas that matter most to sedan and coupe drivers.”
Modifications were made to reduce internal engine friction with revised automatic-transmission gear ratios and the improved aerodynamics to boost fuel economy for 2011. The 2011 Honda Accord is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the midsize class, making itself even more competitive with any gas engine rivals.
2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe
The proven formula of front-wheel drive and a choice of carefully matched four- and six-cylinder engines remain. Their front-wheel drive layout places the mass of the engine over the wheels that propel the car. That’s good for traction in bad weather and it concentrates the power train in the car’s nose, leaving maximum space for passengers and cargo. Despite its relatively large size, Accord isn’t overweight, so Honda can use engines tuned for a balance of performance and fuel economy.

This gives the 2011 Accord even more impressive ergonomics, which is just one of the many assets that help this car overcome the much argued opinion that it “lacks features”.

For the summer of 2010, Northpark Mall enlisted the help of Team Sandtastic to build a 50-ton sandcastle in center court. They began their handy work on July 6, 2010 and continued until July 12. Northpark was looking for something big to help kick off their Sandtastic Summer 2010 and what better way than have Team Sandtastic build a massive sandcastle. Local events such as ‘Hands in the Sand’ will be taking place at the sandcastle until it comes down on August 15, 2010. Below is a slide show of the sandcastle, although this isn’t the same as seeing it in person…so be sure to visit Northpark Mall before August 15!
